In the Valley of the Broken

In the valley of broken dreams
Of lugubrious light and banished beams

In the valley of broken hearts
Of pendulous pain and petrified parts

In the valley of broken smiles
Of secluded self and tormented trials

In the valley of broken eyes
Of shattered sight and swallowed skies

In the valley of broken souls
Of surrendered spirit and hypnotic holes

In the valley of broken loves
Of serpentine silence and scornful shoves.
