We found a female rat terrier/chihuahua mix, six years old. We have her on trial for two weeks to see if she will fit.

Linda, She is adjusting just fine. My husband is really liking her. There are some things that are not as good as we would like, but they are all things that go along with having a pet. We will all adjust to each other. Thanks for stopping by. I appreciate the time spent here. Sara

I'm glad you are doing well with YOUR new dog. I had such high hopes for ours but when he started having weird health problems too, we decided we better give him back to the breeder. He was such a cutie. I sure miss his sweet little face, but not the nipping and barking!!

Andrea, Some are little yappers and some do some nipping sometimes. Our male Chihuahua was a barker, nipper and a scratcher. I miss him so much. LOL. Am I weird or what.Thanks for the second visit. Sara

yes, all dogs should be on trial. Sadly I finally had to surrender dear Billy Blue back to the breeder , I loved him but he was too much for me to deal with plus my husband still being disabled!

Andrea, Sorry that you had to give him up. Cats are not as hard to take care of. Just keep food, water, the litter changed, and a lot of extra vacuuming done. She our new one is settling in and seems to be happy to have a new family. Sara

Valsa, She is shaping up to be what we were looking for. She has to adjust to being in a home again, to us and then to us to her. I am going to take her to the vet today to get her checked out. Thanks for stopping by and wishing us success. Sara

There are many things to consider when adopting a new pet, but it is worth the effort when we find that special friend... Hope all goes well for you and your new pet!... I enjoyed reading this cute poem, Sara. Nicely penned, my friend!

Thank you, Kelly. I think she is going to adjust. She has been in a kennel situation for a year, so she is having to adjust once again to being with a family. I hope she hasn't gotten too set in her ways to be able to adjust. Your visit is delightful. Sara
