In Panic Mode
It's cold outside; it's raining very hard outside,
Beth needs her parents, but she has much pride.
Beth and her baby just finished their last food,
the local shelter is full; she feels she’s screwed.
She has some water and juice left, but not much,
their home is their car, a stick with a bad clutch.
The car is almost on E, but she has it on for heat,
low on cash, how will she make ends meet?
Baby girl is sleeping now, but she will wake soon,
Then she’ll drive to the town food bank by noon.
Panic sets in, the food bank turned her away the
other day,
because they ran out of food, next she starts to pray.
