Offered Love
In my wretchedness, so miserable
God compassionately reached down to me;
Offered me love, divinely valuable…
He paid by His blood* of sacrifice-fee.
Leaving heavenly throne, He brought freedom
That unshackled me from iniquities’ chain;
Against eternal pangs of hell’s kingdom…
He ransomed my soul, granting mercy’s gain.
Thru His forgiveness-might, He sought me out
Ushering my heart from guilt-angst's prison;
By His Word that conquers fear, woe and doubt…
He secures my spirit midst sins’ treason.
Thus, I can approach Him with faith’s fervor
While living for His glory and honor.
*Hebrews 9:14 How much more shall the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered himself without spot to God, purge your conscience from dead works to serve the living God?
