Curious how our emotional states (especially in youth) determine our selected ‘truths’. Well observed, Connie.

G'day Connie … you've struck it beautifully here Connie. Down here there was plenty of defiance and protest, but it takes politicians to fear losing their seats to dampen their egos - thanks Connie - Lindsay

Those revolutionary feelings were felt even in Europe, Connie. Lyrics and songs dwelt a lot on the subject. gl in the contest. Regards // paul

Yes, the Vietnam war was a very unpopular war. The returning soldiers were treated abysmally. Thank you Paul. xxoo

Despite their ambitions and the Surgeon General's prejudices, the Seventies sort of went up in smoke, didn't they? We are still subject to a corrupt government! Good luck! Aloha! Rico

One protagonist said: "Neither the close lightnings of revolutions, nor the accusative case of proclamations, nor bloody revolts, nor uprising, nor mutiny shall disturb your sleep, my beautiful nasturtiums")

I fancied myself a revolutionist, and now I realize there was not one bit of me a revolutionist, but we all "felt" it somehow. Connie, this triggered 1968 for me.

It was during that uneasy time of the Vietnam war Carmen. Very few wanted that war to continue. Our returning soldiers were treated badly, not like today where they are shown honor. Thank you. Happy Easter! xxoo
