Tortured by the looming death, Beloved, a mother… in hospice care Difficult for her to understand, she breathed A prayer, silently begging the Creator to give her Another day, another smile, another mile With the soul who she’d always known As mom – her friend, her protector and Deep down, the blessing that had been more Than just a mom… She’d been a piece of her own heart, A part of her dream – a miracle of love, A sigh from God above reminding her That there is love beyond her understanding, Love that is forever – love that is always With her, preparing and guiding – silencing The doubts and fears, wiping away the darkness, The tears – with a beautiful beyond compare, A wonderful that abides, even in the air When there is a heart who loves beyond measure A heart she’ll forever treasure, a heart who knows She is only one soul, but she is worthy of this love That only God could have sown in her soul, A love, a compassion – that is part of His everlasting Tortured by the looming death, The gentlest person she’s ever met, The part of her heart that she longs to keep With her, forever with her… still, she knows She must let go so this woman she loves Can move to her home in the sky, Where she will never die… eternal life Where her soul will live on, never really gone Because to HIM, she belongs, like a song Sung to the heart who believes, in time There will be a reunion that is beyond beautiful It will be a gathering of hope, faith and love A meeting of souls who were sent here to find The meaning of life is written in the skies It abides inside where only the silence shows The wonder of forever… praying for the grace To abide in God’s presence, loved more than the stars, More than the sun… with a love that can’t be outdone This is a love that comes from God’s only SON!

Closing in on the same experience. I read it with intrepidation though not knowing how I'd really feel when that moment comes. Though now I'd not write about it.

This is so incredibly sad and yet so beautiful at the same time. It is so hard to see our loved ones suffer at the end of their lives. I will be thinking and praying for you dear Gina that she goes quickly. God Bless you both.
