In Bare Feet
when I'm an old woman & live on an island somewhere
I'll have dreadlocks & nobody will care
chix will flock at my feet
both feathered and none
sleeping without all of his snoring
and coughing and wheezing
as the tropic breezes blows
away all of those allergy things
growing organic food
taking life with a grain of salt
a slice of lime
a tequila shot
wearing out hammocks
one after another
thumping the bass
howling at the moon
making home brew
flip flop art for the tourists
to take back
no such thing as crime
overlooking the sea
just you and me
and all the things we do
to feel free
your neighbor is your family
sunset building
with nothing else to do
savor rare bottle of wine
to do list- he he ha ha ho ho
beat the drum like the native that you are
sex on the beach night -n- day
exotic plants grow big as houses
wearing shorts on Sunday
puttin' round on the lil Triumph
peace and love
only wannas no gottas
sandcastle champ
solar panel attached to stationary bike
grilling what we catch
check is in the mail
got all the time in the world
trading eggs for a
Bob Marley cigar
every once in a while
observing life between my toes
then being really lazy
during the week
with bare feet
