In An Oasis of Green
In an oasis of green
where the elm trees
sway and below the grass gleams,
a lonely boy sets his look
on a path which leads
to luscious hills...will he meet Jean?
He'll search for a small brook,
there he'll sit on its bend playing
with the clear, bubbling
water and send down its course
a plastic bottle that the currents
carry away; will someone riding a horse,
see it and read its sentimental words?
In an oasis of green,
a gorgeous starry-eyed teen
is waiting for his sweetheart;
is he too young to discover
love and make it an art?
Can he become a great lover?
