In a Ocean of Humanity
Can you see the person for the crowd
The big picture overshadows details
The choir drowns out a single voice
With everyone running can you sit down
Is it hard to breathe, in an ocean of humanity
swimming against the tide
no one by your side
Falling upside down
Into all, you slowly drown
Cling to the outer edge
gasping for the ridge
leaning on the ledge
One engulfed by all
one by all in thrall
Crushed before you crawl
never see what was sawed
Nothing humane in an ocean of humanity
Embrace the energy of all
from coldest chills to the thaw
Listen to the voice of all, be proud
we are all single digits within one giant crowd
