In a Gentle Way

in a gentle way, the snap of a weed - D A N D E L I O N’s magical in small hands, armed with strength. child leads us through heaven’s gate. reaching out for his gift…a worthless weed? a worthwhile grace, at first, seems dead to us. R E S U R R E C T I O N, in its stead, opens graves. sun shining on God’s face. the crushed it seems has potent powers in child’s C O U N T E N A N C E.

a beautiful and touching poem, Kim! I like how you created parallels with the way you typed 'resurrection' and 'countenance.' That's brilliant! You're right...to a kid, dandelions are magical. Superb job. Enjoy your day, Sara

Thank you so much, Don! My 9 year old grandson, the youngest of 6 grandkids, still takes time to pick a dandelion for me and my heart melts.
