In Heralternate Universe

In her alternate universe she is the last to think she's first. alone on christmas eve she knew, the end was near, (I knew it too) I gave her elephants and cars, and packages of almond bars, but she kept staring at the stars and that is what she drew. a place away from yesterday where happy children go to play who died before they found their way to anyone like you. cannons mark a brand new year, but no one else is left to hear I hold her hand and drink a beer but that's all I can do.
