Imagination
If only we could see how she saw the world
Just a glimpse would surly suffice
If we could feel the butterflies as she twirled
Perhaps we could read her eyes
Literacy faded as our souls grew tired
Like poison ivy, knowledge spread
Time suffocated our spark of fire
Reality screamed off with our heads
Wisdom turned us in to liars
So imagination wouldn't become extinct
Through our children's eyes, we see that fire
Resisting the urge to blink
