I'M Trembling
I'm trembling…
Your soul resembles a remnant rage within me
I'm ascending…
Reaching towards the surface of His sweet serenity
Then, I descend
To my utter demise…
But, it's not the end
Don't seek me - I'm not wise
Are you here to save me from my abominable temptations?
Are you there for me, despite the lack of optimistic sensations?
Are you rooting for me to go above the waters of doubt? Am I making progress?
Are you looking after me as I sink lower into the seas of cobblestone coldness?
I'm the burning bush amongst the desert of hope
I'm the soaring seagull, released from clouds of rope
I'm the churning sea and you're the ship of sheltering sympathy
I'm the rain and you're the rainclouds of such elegant empathy
You engulf me with comfort and delight
You raise my shaking, quaking hands
You lift me so high in the sky with might
You showed me gardens from foreign lands
Your splendid soul burns on and on in brilliant shine
You no longer anger me so, so don't worry about me now...
I wish you were mine...oh, give me some sort of sign
It's been a long time since you been gone from my life somehow
I'm trembling because you left me behind
But, now that I think about it, I don't mind
I'm ascending like an illuminated angel
God rejuvenates me wherever my soul may dwell
