I'M Sorry, Goodbye

When I first saw you In the clearing late October Your smile echoing in my hollow heart It wasn't the first time I saw you But the first I had truly seen Your essence What makes you truly you It was in that clearing that misty October I realised you and me Weren't made to last The rain poured down as my tears did With no trees to guard my soul There and then in that clearing I knew I'd have to let you go
