Listen to poem:
i grew up overnight
in one swift flash
redefining moment

you touched me
abused me
victimized me

you had no right
how could you
how dare you
i trusted you

you crossed the line
you branded me
scarred me for life

Stunning writing Line, reminds me of one of my earliest poems on this site called "I was just a kid" how dare you was one of my lines, maybe you would like it, tragic for the child, stays with you for life. Scarred indeed!

More people are victims from abuse and never tell. It's not something you ever get over. It's forever burned into your memory. I wish there was a pill to erase certain parts of ones memories. Good write Line.

Hugs you. Me and my hubby too. My mother had managed to block out the abuse suffered from one of her brothers; till she had the talk with me "has anybody..." I said no, then "if someone did would you have someone to talk to..." My "what's the point" let her know, that's when she remembered. Gave me her Courage to Heal book and descended into her own hell. I learned it is better not to forget <3

There are pills... and alcohol, and all sorts of self abusive behaviour. A new train of thought emerging on addictions and disorders like anorexia, OCD, self mutilation, that they all come from the same place, but we treat them all differently. ~mo

Some become doctors; others become gymnastics coaches; still others become priests... Tain't funny at all. Well-rendered message, Line.

One tough topic. Succinct rendering. I've worked on that one a lot, even written of it recently. It can take a lifetime to overcome, sometimes never. xomo <3
