By way of explanation I always like to say whenever facing adversity that I must be walking very close to God because the devil hasn't got time to waste on someone whose already lost it.

My husband has diabetis complicated by the onset of dementia. I have to take care of him.I also have a full time job. My daughter has also been quite ill. So I haven't been getting lots of rest what with worrying about everybody. I can go to bed but my mind won't shut off. Add that to the fact that my husband will wake me to ask if I have seen the cat or if the dog is inside or outside, or if I have to work tonight, or ask me what day it is. You get the picture. He doesn't mean to bother me but he really doesn't know what to do and he gets lonely sometimes.

This poem is meant to explain and hope that all my friends on the Soup will understand. I love each and every one of you all and appreciate your kindness in reading for me.

Hi there everybody. It looks like I'm back. Let's see for how long according to track. Every now and then with all that I do, Seems I just plain wear down and I have to renew; Recharge my battery, kick back, take a rest, With my job and my housework it puts me to test. My hubby is ill and I must care for him, My daughter had surgery but is now home again. She has to have more and must go back again. I'm worried for sure but know God will attend. We reach out to Jesus for He cares for His Own. Whatever the outcome we're never alone. I'm sorry that I disappear now and then. Exhaustion takes over and I just get the bends. Hope you'll all understand and bear with me, okay? The devil it seems tries to rule the day; But if we keep the faith we are stirred but not shaken. God will not desert me, be not mistaken. We'll stay close to Jesus no matter what costs it, Though the devil won't bother someone whose done lost it.

Judy my dear friend. I disapear quite often because with our business of 32 years, (we place senior nursing and medical staff country wide) like a roller coaster, some weeks we are going crazy with work then it goes quiet for a week, then begins to get hectic again. My poetry is my absolute passion but it must play second fiddle to Proto, sadly. However I pinch time from Peter to give to Paul and vice versa. Enjoyed your poem to whom many can relate, sorry to hear about hubby, love Jenn.

Indeed keep the faith. My wife had dementia but she barely talked. It will be a hard life for. you. But have faith.

Judy, it is good to read a poem by you. Life is dealing you some pretty difficult blows, but you seem to be taking them on the chin, while plodding forward. Your faith seems to be a sustaining force in your life. May the force be with you!
