I'm a believer

I'm a believer

Vs 1
I see your stars...high above so far
They shine and tell about your glory,
I see your moon...it sings your tune
It's melody tells about your story

Chorus 1
I was so struck with awe
Now to me it's so clear, it is you I should fear
How could I have been so blind?
So, I'm a believer...
I'm so glad you gave me time.

Vs 2
I've read your word...many times I've heard
People tell of their experience
From my first look... in your holy book
I felt a need for my deliverance

Chorus 2
I'm still struck with awe
And to me it's still clear, it is you I still fear
Can't go back to being willfully blind
So, I'm a believer...
I hope for you, that there's still time

Bridge
There's a strange divide...strange how people decide
to hate what they don't know
We can choose to live...and others forgive
Give God's love room to grow

Vs 3
I learned your name... read of your fame,
I felt I knew you even better,
Your word gives hope...helps me to cope
It makes me want to live forever!

Chorus 3
I'm still struck with awe
And to me it's still clear, it is you I still fear
Can't go back to being willfully blind
So, I'm a believer...
I'll pray for you, while there's still time.

So, I'm a believer...
I'll pray for you, while there's still time.

Thanks for sharing your faith in the Lord. Meanwhile, I greet you with the love of the Lord, expressed by John 3:16 of the Bible, "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." Be blessed."

Dear John, your Lyric is deep, reverent, rhythmic and inspiring! Your bridge is especially meaningful and resonates strongly within me. It's painful to see the ones that are "willfully blind".. may their eyes be open to the truth and light! Indeed, each person, the masses and the whole world needs prayers! A praiseful piece that reaches out to God and to the "willfully blind". Welcome back, my poet friend. Warmest wishes.. ~Susan

Hey John love this reverent song. There is a growing agnostic/atheistic movement that hates anything Bible, so all the more do people need to hear these words of faith and praise. Keep 'em coming. When you get a chance read my piece - This is Believe

Yeah the irreverence is appalling, but then again like the song says they hate what they do not know. Worse is when they are willfully blind, rejecting God, then hope fades. Thanks for your kind visit.

Forgiving others is essential if we're to be forgiven. I'm pleased to see you're still writing lyrics.

“ There's a strange divide...strange how people decide to hate what they don't know We can choose to live...and others forgive” couldnt have said it any better dear john. We live in a world where people hate what they dont know, perhaps it is fear of the unknown. A beautiful song this is. I really love the flow and depth of what youv delivered and as i read your lines i can hear the tune to this song too, i love always a well written lyrics. And you’ve written so seamlessly. So good to read you
