Illusion-Soaked Highway

Gazing across this long stretch of pavement, my thoughts are fleeting. Familiar acquaintances appear as apparitions on the illusion-soaked highway. Have I been here before? That's hard to determine. The trees cast lonely shadows on the sand. The sun sparkles on each grain and gives light to the darkness felt deep inside one's soul. One can scarcely find beauty unless he ventures into unspoiled nature, where the sky is free to harmonize with the land.
