I'Ll Never Forget What's His Name

I had in my first year of college a blind date, and boy, was he lame. Of manners he had little knowledge. I’ll never forget what’s his name. I think that we went to a dance, but the moves that he made were so tame there clearly would be no romance. I’ll never forget what’s his name. I’d let that guy make me feel small for not being his kind of dame. Yet his face I don’t even recall! I’ll never forget what’s his name. My posey composed for this creep is nothing approaching acclaim. I DO recall that he was cheap. I’ll never forget what’s his name. Sept. 21, 2019

HaHA I had a few dates like that too. Thank goodness I could forget them. One guy on finding out I wrote poetry said he liked poetry too. Then he produced a book and began to read for me. Lord have mercy! Sex poems! I just groaned and said Enough! Take Me Home! LOL Loved this write. Brings back memories. God Bless, JB

Hi Andrea, Some people leave an impression ( good or bad) that you couldn't forget them if you tried to. However, in a case such as this, I wouldn't want to remember the face or the name. This is a good one for the contest theme. I wish you the best of luck in the contest. Have a great day my friend:-) Alexis

Better off forgotten it sounds like. I've had many relationships (especially as a teenager) that were better off forgotten. Blessings

It seems you remember him in the light he deserves to be remembered. Not remembering his name means it was never worth the precious space it would occupy ;) Loved this little ditty :)

Good one, Andrea! I had a lot of what's his names in my life. I did make the rounds like a crazy person. But the experience you describe is most valid!-))? And not sorry I cannot remember all the names of those losers! Anyhoo, not enough notebooks -)) Panagiota

Honestly, of all the dates I had, this one whose name and face I do not remember, was the only person who treated me shabbily. There were other losers, but at least they were sweet in the beginning!

funny how the mind recalls some things, like how cheap, or how strange, but can't always recall a name...good one my friend :) hugs

and I honestly can't recall his face either! I think he was mildly attractive.
