If You Say So

Now wouldn't be such a wonderful world If we could all walk without falling That fine line between excuses and reasons Get Grandma to stop telling the folks down at the church That I'm one of Lucifer's demons Just because she's out of touch with the rush in the lifestyle That her child's child been leading When she should be thankful that I wasn't cut down this evening Constantly I pray for my own safe keeping I learned over the years that falling tears Are simply substitute teachers in the schools of bleeding To the kids I'd tell them to run and play on and play on This I care to tell Cause i've seen some of the most simplest of priveledges Turn and get listed in jailhouse prayers in mail And all of these rotten wish to be forgotten memories have me plotting On who I should use for another brew After searching through the dirt On my hands and knees getting my hands nasty Diggin in the ashtray for loose change Funny how at times when you're hurt you cant always blame the pain
