If Truth Be Told
If truth be told,
I dare not sleep,
for sickles come for souls to reap.
If truth be told,
I hide from light,
your rays of sun have pierced my night.
If truth be told,
the angel who rules the sky,
whose wings you've clipped cannot fly.
If truth be told,
awake! they've pulled Lust's cover,
the hours late they know we're lover's.
If truth be told,
this world is sick,
your magic is done they know the trick.
If truth be told,
you shouldn't sigh,
for if truth be told you pushed the lie.
