If Today Was Your Last
If today was your last,
would you be proud of who you've been?
The thoughts, the words, the deeds;
would they put a grin on your face as you watch them replay?
Or you'll wish to be buried below the 6feet mark, to get away from the shame of your past.
If today was your last,
would you count a handful of lives you have given hope to?
Through thoughts, through words, through deeds;
would you exhale in contentment at the sight of those impacted?
Or you'll bury your face beneath the 6feet mark, hiding from all you led astray.
If today was your last,
would you look back at all and sundry that you changed?
By thoughts, by words, by deeds;
would you sit back and and enjoy the culture you created?
Or you'll crawl under the 6feet mark, to escape the menace you left unaltered.
If today was your last,
would you be sure to find your name in the book of life?
For thoughts, for words, for deeds;
would you find rest in that you have fought a good fight?
Or you'll wish 6 more feet were added, to shade you from His wrath.
