i hear the echo of voices amid whispers
and recognize old smiling faces
in the hush of a frost laden morning
i detect the hint of angelic glances
while gently rocking the sleeping babe
beneath the subdued moonlight
i recognize the lingering perfume
of love reclaimed in june
