If Music Be the Food of Love, Play On

The notes, oh the notes that soared above
The music to grab and hold the heart
A rhythm carried by the winds of life
Two things that cannot be keep apart 

So feed the soul with music then
The sounds that bind us to each other
Spoken with unbroken line and phrases
Filling needs for self , for one another

In time the music will have a softer tone
But they belong together, hand and glove
The melodies will linger in each memory
Speaking softly..."If music be the food of love,
                                                  play on.."
