If Love Is a Birdcage

If love is a birdcage, I shall sing With silver bars in harmony We keep content these tiny wings As grace balanced so artfully With silver bars in harmony We gather mirrors of the sky As grace balanced so artfully By oval patterns, we still fly We gather mirrors of the sky So close, our dome's heavenly blue By oval patterns, we still fly Our feathered universe of two So close, our dome's heavenly blue We keep content these tiny wings Our feathered universe of two If love is a birdcage, I shall sing. 6/15/21

Wow my talented friend and gifted poetess - love your pantoum, wish you all the best in the contest and love your lovely loving nest, your birdcage, which brought you together so that you are one and can fly in and out of it, as you sing of the love you share within it, brilliant Michelle, hugs and blessings, Jennifer.

What a beautiful poem built on the picture of the birds that you have written. This is a piece of art, a word sculpture with exquisite shading and a beautiful message. Michelle, it's always a pleasure to read your poetry, and I'm looking forward to reading more. Blessings and best regards.
