If Life Were a Dream
If life were a dream, we'd live in a perfect world.
I'd be the perfect man, you'd be the perfect girl.
If life were a dream, we'd never have to die.
And the same things that make us laugh, wouldn't make us cry.
If life life were a dream, reality would be compromised.
Trust could only trust us to promise lies.
If life were a dream, hearts would never break.
And desire's the most effort love would ever take.
If life were a dream, there'd be no need for sorries.
Every day of every week would be filled with parties.
If life were a dream, what would we dream of?
If we could have everything we'd want, when would we ease up?
If life were a dream, what could we find to cherish?
If we dreamed about life, what would we find as precious?
And lastly, if golden moments occured in scenes.
What would you value, if life were a dream?
