If I Were a Fish
If I were a fish I could wiggle all day
I could splash in the water
I could float, I could play
If I were a fish I would eat so little
I would glide up to the glass
to my owner’s hand, the middle
If I were a fish my life would be the best.
I would not have to have a litter box
or a cozy nest
If I were a fish I would finally be happy said the cat
The fish stuck out his tongue at her
And called her names like fat
Maybe I am better out here with the rat
Inside with that moron would be bad
I guess I could also stay a cat
