If I Should Die
If I Should Die
When the autumn leaves
Are trampled underfoot
When the earth is cold and bare
And the sky is overcast and grey,
If all that I possess in life
Precious loved ones and dear friends
All memory, laughter, song and dance
Are overcome by grief and sorrow
In the end,
Think not that I am gone forever
But only for a brief moment
We have parted company,
To meet again for all eternity.
