If I Could Just Believe
If I could just believe in Jesus Christ
And not have any more doubts
In my mind: the sun would always shine
in the sky during the daylight
Hours of the day.
And the moon would always be the
lesser light,
Shining amidst a starlight;
Darkened sky.
If I could just learn to trust in Jesus Christ
And have all of my worries and
My cares: Evaporate into
Thin air. Just like my former poems
And website did on Poetry Soup!
I could get a brand new
perspective on life.
And fully realize that Poetry Soup
Is a family friendly website!
I needed to be perfectly honest
With you and tell you not
All of my poetry was in direct
violation of your sound rules!
After all "honesty is really
the best policy."
