if I could cry

If I could cry When I met Anne Margrete I knew what love was She moved into my little flat Every day was wonderful life had a meaning She became pregnant I warmed to the idea of becoming a father She was less pleased something about emancipation She had an abortion  After that, nothing was the same the unborn had come between us Long silences, she moved out Sometimes I met her in the town always with a new boyfriend In her eyes, I read a question WHY? I didn't see her for some times someone told me she was ill and had moved to her father's farm She died there If only I could cry

Some don't want to be chained, and having a baby was her way of saying that. Tough one, but that's life.
