If Ever a Last Poem
i thought
i wanted
to say
something
to you and
so raised
my eyes from
out a cloudy
gloom
from mind
to arm to
then lift
my right
hand also
needing my
fingers to
pick up a
pen then
cursively put to
paper my ink
but then
begin
to think
that these
would be
the same
words i'd
write in
a poem
how on
high and
you are
the lone
one that if
i could
i would
be with
the rest
of my
life
so now
may i rest in
peace as you read
these lines
of a note
of my
suicide
