If I decided to write sunbeams today -- would clouds ungray and rain unfall? If I painted a scene of green trees tall, would the recent fire not have blackened them all? and if I loved you too late as you say, could you reconsider give back his ring and with If run away? as usual all about If the sorry little stray --

Wow this is one of my most fave poems written by you, it has this pablo neruda vibe in it flowing : the opening is just beyond impeccable and flow of the rest is just beautiful! A fave this is! Love it!

Neruda...wow, a Nobel Prize winner, maybe a bit above my league -- I am flattered. You made my day. A very romantic, soul driven humanitarian. I am also very idealistically political at times. Pure Socialism, its essence absent the heavy hands of self-serving Totalitarian enforcement, is not so far from a pure Capitalistic Society, absent the overt Greed of pontificating freedom loving phonies. We all have a tendency to procrastinate our actions, fearing "if" something unfortunate happens. This is what hinders our success. 'If' is only a an assumed possibility or a condition that prevents spontaneous action. Dear Joe, you are dealing with a great subject and you have a unique way of dealing with it. Enjoyed your poem.
