Ice Tea
Like every breath of sweet, polluted oxygen
the nicotine staining my blackening lungs
and the two hundred pain pills i consume to erase the throbbing
like my unneeded pain, shocking me awake from my drowsy slumber
the icetea i drowned in rather than fresh bland water
and the munchies i inhale when the smoke is through my veigns
like my four hour showers id gladly share to conserve swiming time for my fisheys
my addiction to vanilla, butterscotch, hazelnut and old fashioned irsh coffie
and the flowers i live in, so full of sweet sour pollen killing me slowly
like the boy i once lived with, the guy i dreamt of, the man i loved, like you
the things i need ---- need
can i survive with out? ---- without? could i imagine that life
....id give it all up and die ---- all of it, every last drop of poison
for the most important, most luxerious, most destituted
creation on such a list
and no, its not ice tea
