I Would Say
When I would lose the light on my way
For me a lamp I know you would light
Hold my hands, don’t leave, I would say.
In engulfing darkness if I wander away
You would not disappear from my sight
When I would lose the light on my way.
The edge of my worn out time may fray
If from the falling sky ruins on me alight
Hold my hands, don’t leave, I would say.
Dark hours of despair thicken and stay
I would think it’s my life’s ordained plight
When I would lose the light on my way.
I would plunge deep within me and pray
If I don’t see the day break after the night
Hold my hands, don’t leave, I would say.
Ignite a fire to light me in your divine ray
I would make my pole star shining bright
When I would lose the light on my way
Hold my hands, don’t leave, I would say.
