I Wont Be My Mother Or Family

I no longer want to do this I am breaking a big promise That was made by a scared kid I wouldn't do what others did With the neglect and abuse This decision I would choose To make sure my children were Always loved, never unsure How much they meant to my heart Knowing from the very start Of their birth, they'd always be The most important thing to me I'd struggle and sacrifice To give them a better life Than the sadness I was in I would not cause the same sin My whole family inflicted On a small innocent kide No child should ever feel A families love isn't real I don't ever want to see a trace Of sorrow upon their face Only happiness and cheer Not one single lonely tear Will fall from their lovely eyes Because of any false lies They have ever overheard There will only be kind words Of truth they will depend on Hearts will never be stepped on No anger will ever show As little ones begin to grow Having their own family Looking back, hoping to see All the love they have been given Will be used as they are livin' Their own lives with family too The love they learned will shine through
