I won’t apologize For what I said It wasn’t a lie Even if it causes you To forever say goodbye I won’t apologize I won’t apologize Remember what you said “You can’t help how you feel” And yes for me Those feelings are so real I’m not trying to Pull the wool over your eyes I won’t apologize I hope you know Deep in your soul I never meant to Cause any grief For you with my belief I need to make you see I had to do this for me So I could move on In whatever direction that will be I’m trying to say That I’m thankful everyday For having had you in my life You were always a better man Then I deserved And to you it might Sound absurd But it’s all true When I was really Down and out It was memories of you That pulled me through In the darkness You were my light I know this is right I won’t apologize For the words that were spoken Even if my heart Continues to be broken See I’ve realized Love can’t be kept forever In disguise I’m not playing a game Or am I trying to Make you feel the same Just so you know I don’t think I can ever Fully let you go And even though I’m so confused Don’t know what I’ll do One thing’s for sure I won’t apologize For being in love with you
