I Wish Upon the Brightest Star

I wish to see a butterfly Dance for me, beneath the sky I wish to see a bird in flight Soaring with freedom in my sight I wish to see the squirrel play Acrobatic stunts, I used to see all day I wish to hear a bird song Play for me, that nothing is wrong I wish to see the turkey plume In their march, through here they groom I wish to see the life and flurry All through this yard where they would scurry I wish upon the brightest star now To return to all that I had somehow Heidi Sands 2/25/23

Thank you Paula. We will see what wildlife is like then. We have a lot in winter too but they fled from the toxic plume from Ohio.

This is well written but the sadness is unescapable. Try putting out sunflower seeds. All wildlife loves sunflower seeds. Chin up! You can only see beauty if you look for it. Have a great day Heidi.

I put out birdseed, peanut butter and walnuts. Squirrel are here every day and are all gone even with walnuts! Yesterday. There were no small birds at the dump where there are always many. I only saw 3 crow. The crow and Mourning Dove stayed? The people who feed the turkey have none. Thank you
