I wrote this on my daughter Christina's 30th birthday. I am a firm believer that we must continually tell our children how much we love them. It just doesn't get old. !!
Exactly thirty years ago
I was a nervous wreck
As I nervously walked through the corridors of the hospital
Not knowing what to expect
As each minute ticked
The butterflies in my stomach beat their wings more rapidly
My hands were sweating, as I paced the halls up and down a hundred times Finally, it happened
My first child had been born
A beautiful little girl had entered my life
I held her in my arms for the first time
Then I kissed her ever so softly on her cheeks, and said
"Happy Birthday Little One"
Today, I will kiss those cheeks again
Happy Birthday "Baby Doll"
Love dad
