I Will Be Strong

Today, I lie in the stillness of the night
Listening for you breathing
The silence hard to bear,
Without you here beside me
The emptiness, the loneliness
Is more than I can endure
I am but an empty shell,
Living, yet not alive,
It was you and you alone
That made me whole
But, tomorrow is another day
And although my future now is unclear,
Second by second
Minute by minute
Hour by hour
The memories we shared
Will make me stronger.

This is so sad and beautiful at the same time, I understand how you feel, dear heart, I also find my love down a long and winding road, at a place of tears, his name engraved for eternity, it is a pain that never leaves, but are we not lucky to have found that love, some never do... now let me brush a tear away... for my contest, your assignment is the emotion .. Awe ... love constance

Beautiful! Lots of wisdom here. I try to tell myself everything happens for a reason. Thanks for reading my alcoholic - it is autobiographical and not just some idle judgement. Love, daver
