I Want to Be a Snail

King and queen of the seahorses met one day. He showed off his mane, she twisted her tail. We are royalty, the king said, so hey! hey! hey! Fine for you said the queen, but I want to be a snail. Why? Asked the king. Have we not been kind? She had been brought from the Sea of the Mind. You are great, but I think snails have pearls right? That is a clam, he said. Was she not bright?
