I Want To Be

I want to be where the air is fresh and clean
and smell the scent of decaying matter 
providing nutrients to mother earth

I want to be where I can see animals running free
under massive trees and where large boulders
full of moss and lichen live

I want to be where one can view the sky at night and
wonder at the universe full of lonely stars shining down
long after they have vanished 

I want to be where I can listen to the sounds of nature
and the conversations that take place between the trees
and plants as they joyfully enjoy themselves

I want to be where one can see the silvery moon and its
craters with the naked eyes and marvel at its reflecting
light that has joined together many lovers

Perhaps I can travel there in my dreams if I could only 
tune out the noise of people, vehicles and city lights 
and sleep.
