I Thought of Many Things
White Christmas lights glistened
I thought of many things
Times I hadn’t listened
To my inner soul that sings
I saw reflections shine
In the window at me
I thought of what is mine
To be grateful to see
I imagined a song
From the silence, emerge
Waiting in the dark so long
Patient, ready to surge
The light, the dark, the new…
Born by will to endure
In all that contrast brings
I thought of many things
