I Think I'Ll Survive

Yes, I'm left handed, I think I'll survive, 
I can walk, I can talk and actually drive!! 
I can cut paper fine, even tie my own lace's, 
which is really fantastic , when competing in race's.

The shock of some people, the look of dismay! 
''wow your left handed, are you sure your ok''
its really no problem, I assure you, its cool,
I have no problem's with it, and neither should you.

So pointing it out, for people to see, 
is not very nice, so just let me be.
I'm happy being a lefty, I feel sorry for you,
but I wont point out, a thing about you.

Yes, I'm left handed, I will be okay,
I can make it through, another day.
I can raise 3 children, keep a dog and a cat,
not ashamed to be a lefty, don't you worry about that!

- I'm left handed, me too - You can raise 133 children, keep ten dog and 16 cat - 5 parrots, a giant elephant if you want, you can do everything you want!! - You also clever to write poems .... even if you are left-handed !! - oxox // Anne-Lise :)

Good rhyme structure, what matters is what goes on in the mind and heart, you seem to be doing just fine honey! Nice poem

Many great people were southpaws, including Paul McCartney, Leonardo DaVinci, Babe Ruth, Randy Johnson, et al. Nice write with decent rhyming. Just a couple of issues need correction: you don't need the apostrophes in your pluralized nouns such as "laces" and "races". Also, "your" in the second line of your second verse should be presented as either "you're" or "you are".

Hi Maxine, I love this. My son used to get ribbed about being left handed, but he managed to go places, even though at the time he was fed up of all the silly remarks. :) // paul
