I struggle to understand the mindset Of people wallowing in destructive hate, The things they say they never regret I struggle to understand the mindset And, sadly, I cannot their words forget, Much vitriol and hatred spewing of late I struggle to understand the mindset Of people wallowing in destructive hate. written October 1, 2021

What a fantastic poem, Milt. If you want to comprehend someone with a nasty worldview, you shouldn't have to fight for it. If somebody chooses to live in toxic hatred, it's most likely because they find it enjoyable.

Don't even try to understand them Milton, it's an illogical mindset they possess, If someone wants to wallow in destructive hate, it's probably because they enjoy it, nice verse, cheers David

But how, David, how can anyone "enjoy" wallowing in hate? I know what you are saying and the truth of it, but how? I've always been told that hogs enjoy wallowing in the mud and filth, but I have learned that is not so, that they much prefer a clean pen.

I don't think you should struggle to comprehend people with hateful minds. Jan would say, "Pity them," but I just chalk it up to brain malfunction. Sometimes when I read the vitriol in the lines of others, I just shake my head. That's better than shaking my fist.

I believe you are right, Jenna. I wish I could learn to do this. I want to have a spirit of peace in my life, but so often I succumb to turmoil because of the behavior of others. Can't seem to pass over it.
