I Still Feel Your Presence

Even though we lose people we love, sometimes we feel like they are still with us in spirit. Coping with the loss becomes a bit easier. When first “I” saw your steel blue eyes My heart stopped “STILL” as I watched you enter the room Your early demise didn’t make “SENSE” and many tears were shed Until I heard “YOUR” voice in my head, assuring me That your “PRESENCE” in my life would never end. *Entry for HG’s “Middle of the Road” contest. That makes for powerful poetry, the staying on topic whilst creating a short but sweet message in the centre. Lovely idea for a contest, but moreover this is a lovely poem,  -KMD
