I Sit In a Room Full of Opinions
I sit with my opinions firmly around my heart
Not taking them out for anyone
Not sharing them, not using them in any way
For I have learned that if they know I have them
They will try to revise them, advise them, resize them
So I sit here, in a room full of opinions, drinking my tea
Eating my croissant, in silence, listening to the stupidity that flows
As the others try to convince others that their opinions are the right ones
I have saved myself a lot of grief and a lot of torment and they have become my minions.
No one notices as I take out my pen and begin to write.
