I Saw You Happy

I observed you in an awkward moment of silence
I saw something different in your eyes
Maybe a twinkle
I saw a smile
A smile from within
A saw you laugh,
A laugh unheard for a long time
This time, I saw you happy
Not frustrated by the world
I saw you happy, not wondering about the kids saying “Where in the World”
This moment is one that will cherish
This moment is one that I’ll never forget
For this moment, I finally saw you happy.
