I Never Said Goodbye

I keep circling back to you Back to the arms I always knew When I awake and open my eyes I close them back wishing You were here by my side Maybe I'm pretending But there's a space in my heart Only you can fill I beg God you will I keep circling back to you No other one would ever do You've painted on me The colors of love That never fade away You're all I'm dreaming of Your kiss, your voice, the touch of you Never washed ashore I keep drifting back to your door After all this time I've never let you go Baby come back to me Back when I was blind to see I'd be coming around again Circling back to you

This gem is loaded with emotion, heartache and yearning. I in my youth found myself drifting back to those that I in my wildness had left behind. A fav and thanks this great poem reminded me of a girl from over 41 years ago.

My forgetting is due to a health issue involving memory loss my dear friend. Which is why your great poem gave me such a wonderful gift that I appreciate so. It never left me, it just was beyond recall unless something stirred the sweet and beloved memory to the forefront.
