For Joseph May's eight word contest..

A rondeau (plural rondeaux) is a form of French poetry with 15 lines written on two rhymes. Variant forms may have 10 or 13 lines. It makes use of refrains, repeated according to a certain stylized pattern. It was customarily regarded as a challenge to arrange for these refrains to contribute to the meaning of the poem in as succinct and poignant a manner as possible. The rondeau consists of thirteen lines of eight syllables, plus two refrains (which are half lines, each of four syllables), employing, altogether, only three rhymes. It has three stanzas and its rhyme scheme is as follows: (1) A A B B A (2) A A B with refrain: C (3) A A B B A with concluding refrain C. The refrain must be identical with the beginning of the first line.

I need your love when life seems lame, behind each sigh I call your name. In silent slumber when in pain, you shelter me in misty rain. Emphasize that I'm not to blame. When I'm weary and full of shame. Cajole my heart, so it can tame. Stop my mind from feeling insane. I need your love. I will sing a song to exclaim and strum my guitar to proclaim how your support keeps my thoughts sane. Like lilacs your voice soothes the strain. I'm etching your words to reclaim I need your love

This is so lovely. Hearing a call for love or a yearning for warmth is so refreshing. You have written this with the right words and it is heartfelt. Love is meant to be proclaimed, to be sung all decades until the lover goes deaf. Not hearing another love song except from their lover's lips. "Like lilacs your voice soothes the strain. I'm etching your words to reclaim I need your love." This is not a time to suppress emotions or hide feelings. Let us sing it like birds. Great one Dear, Silent.

Dear SO, I loved your heartfelt plea for love and support. Being married for 42 years, I have always recognized that we spouses deeply rely on the love of another to navigate life's challenges, finding solace, strength, and peace in their presence. I can relate at all levels, and your words filled my morning. - Blessings, My Dear Friend, Daniel

SO, great song and a very enjoyable music video. It is amazing how we can take a lot of comfort with the right partner. It really helps to have a true friend and companion. Hopefully, this works out well for the party in need! I always worry…lol!!! You’re making me smile! The video title casts a doubt on the outcome, but I am being slightly pessimistic today. I worry about needing love, but it’s good to admit it for sure.

What a soothing and heartfelt poem that flows with such longing and deep feelings flowing in such a seamless manner! I absolutely love this! Especially “ I will sing a song to exclaim and strum my guitar to proclaim how your support keeps my thoughts sane.” i can picture you strumming your guitar, and like lilacs their voice soothing the inner turmoil. Just beautiful! This sounds like the kind of song ed sheeran would write and sing! Just love it! And your use of prompts here is brilliant! BOL
