I Need You, Father

 dramatic verse 

Father, no other one
can manage
the crossing of my Jordan
like You do.
I need my Navigator, Jesus!

Father, what a novel notion -
your grace, the norm for justice.
not just your love but mercy too.
I need evil’s Nemesis, Jesus!

Father, ordained at your hand,
Christ offered us life
by dying on Calvary.
There is no one like your Son -
always available to help
I need your Offering to us, Jesus!

Father, omnipotent over all things
one Lord, our example,  
occupied with obedience,
Overlord of the universe, 
I need your spirit to help 
I need to be like Jesus!
